Sat, 9 September 2006 ![]() Welcome to Episode 10. We have a wonderful flash fiction piece read by the author, David Lee Summers, entitled Cinnamon Hot Chocolate and Gold. I was drawn to the title because I'm a big fan of cinnamon hot chocolate. I guess the dead are too.
David Lee Summers is author of the novel Vampires of the Scarlet Order and the "Old Stars" science fiction trilogy. He's also the author of numerous science fiction, fantasy and horror short stories and poems that have appeared in such places as Realms of Fantasy and The Santa Clara Review. David also edits the science fiction and fantasy magazine, Tales of the Talisman, serves as a book editor for LBF Books, and a consulting editor for El Paso Community College's literary magazine, Chrysalis. In addition to his work with the written word, he is also an astronomer who has discovered variable stars and worked in the field of robotic telescopes. His website is www.davidleesummers.com.

Tue, 5 September 2006 ![]() Welcome to Episode 9. We have two fantastic books to review -- Brave Men Run by Matthew Selznick and The Golems of Laramie County by Ken Rand. You can purchase both books through www.scifitravelingroadshow.com or you can purchase Brave Men Run from www.bravemenrun.com or listen to it at Podiobooks.com. You can also visit Matt's website at www.mattselznick.com. You can purchase The Golems of Laramie County from www.yarddogpress.com or directly from Ken Rand at http://www.sfwa.org/members/Rand/. Lastly, some of us podcasters have noticed that people are still under the mistaken impression that they need an Ipod to listen to podcasts. While I really love my Ipod, the truth is you don't need an Ipod to listen. To this end, the band, Uncle Seth, has a PSA announcement -- and a darn good one! Check it out here at: http://www.musicpodcast.ca/podcast-psa/ The song, You Don't Need an Ipod, we're playing here is courtesy of the band, Uncle Seth. They've asked that I include these links to their websites on the show notes: http://musicface.com/uncleseth/news.html. Also they'd like me to point out that John C. Havens of the About.com Guide To Podcasting is their co-writer, and to link to http://podcasting.about.com/ as well. Comments[10] |
