Dusty Rainbolt is author of the award-winning kitten care book, Kittens For Dummies, as well as the science fiction romp, All The Marbles. Her book with the working title, Cat Ghosts will be released by Lyons Press in March, 2007. She just finished a paranormal mystery, Death Under the Crescent Moon. She writes the award-winning monthly column, â??Dear Hobbesâ?? for City + Country Pets, and she is the product reviewer for the Tufts University magazine, Catnip. In addition to all the articles printed as a staff writer for Whole Cat Journal, Lewisville Leader, Lewisville News, The Frugal Bride, Christian Informer, Crossroads, and Star Telegram NE, she has had more than 50 freelance articles printed. She also quilts, fences, knits, bellydances, and functions on way too little sleep. Her latest publishing credits include "Lost in Whitby" (FABULOUS WHITBY, Shrew Press UK), "Lurleen Terwilliger and the Swedish Bubba Balls" (INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF BUBBAS, Yard Dog Press) and "It Takes Brains to Run a Con" (FLUSH FICTION, Yard Dog Press), and her novella "Best Protection" will be half of the fourth Double Dog from Yard Dog Press. He’s also the author of numerous science fiction, fantasy and horror short stories and poems that have appeared in such places as Realms of Fantasy and The Santa Clara Review. David also edits the science fiction and fantasy magazine, Tales of the Talisman, serves as a book editor for LBF Books, and a consulting editor for El Paso Community College’s literary magazine, Chrysalis. In addition to his work with the written word, he is also an astronomer who has discovered variable stars and worked in the field of robotic telescopes. One of our upcoming guests is Carol Hightshoe: Born in 1964, Carol Hightshoe grew up in San Antonio, Texas. Her interest in writing first showed itself in elementary school when she used her classmates as models for stories. During high school, she served as the Public Information Officer for the Army JROTC unit as well as editor of their monthly newsletter. She graduated from Highlands High School in 1982 and went on to major in Journalism at Texas A&M University. She served as a Ground Radio Operator in the US Air Force reserves, has worked as an office manager for two veterinary clinics, and has also worked as a Deputy Sheriff in El Paso County Colorado. She traveled to The Netherlands and then eventually found her way to Colorado Springs, Colorado courtesy of her husband and the US Air Force. An avid reader at a young age, her strong desire to write came from her love of (her husband calls it her obsession with) Star Trek. It was this early love of Trek that led her to the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres. Carol's family includes her husband Tim; their son John; and her four-footed canine companion - Kans. While the rest of the family manages to tolerate her imaginary friends and worlds, Carol's attitude is "I live in my own little world; but it's okay -- they know me there." Tue, 9 May 2006  I'll be posting upcoming guests for the SciFi Traveling Road Show as I get information. Gloria Oliver lives in Texas with her husband, daughter, and three cats. She is the author of the novels In the Service of Samurai, and Vassal of El, both in the Fantasy genre and both finalists in the EPPIES. Two other fantasy novels are due for release in 2006 and 2007, Cross-eyed Dragon Troubles and Willing Sacrifice. She also has stories in The Four Bubbas of the Apocalypse, Small Bites, and Fundamentally Challenged anthologies. When not busy working with numbers at work, she enjoys reading, writing, watching movies, Japanese Anime, trying to learn Japanese, and making her mind mush by translating Japanese comics.
